One of the long term effects of growing up a JW...
by Pwned infor me anyways.. i still have nightmares about demon attacks.
that was the one belief that really had a grip on me growing up.
i was terrified of demons and even thought i was being attacked one night for bringing home a toy with a pagan symbol (ying-yang) on it.

Anyone been to Darwin Australia???
by Es inhey all.
we are off to darwin in aug for a wedding, im really looking forward to it other than the whole share accomodation with hubbys fam, but we hired a car so we can atleast escape when it gets to much.. has anyone been, im wondering how hot it will be i will be 6 month preg by that time.. all i know is that for one of the day nights we are heading off to katherine.
any info would be great.

Furthest north I got was Port Douglas in the summer / autumn. I flew into Cairns from Melbourne via brissie and getting off that plane onto the tarmac was like walking into a sauna, the humidity really hits you. Being a hairy beastie it was hard keeping my clothes dry up there unless i was on the beach thanks to the heat and humidity.

I'm so glad I had a more secular down to earth dub upbringing with none of this superstitious shit involved.
Dubs would drone on and on about how the truth had freed them from the lie about everlasting torment in hell but it seems that some of them were then filling their kids heads with crap about demon attacks!

budapest (reuters) - hungarian builders who drank their way to the bottom of a huge barrel of rum while renovating a house got a nasty surprise when a pickled corpse tumbled out of the empty barrel, a police magazine website reported.. according to online magazine www.zsaru.hu, workers in szeged in the south of hungary tried to move the barrel after they had drained it, only to find it was surprisingly heavy and were shocked when the body of a naked man fell out.. the website said that the body of the man had been shipped back from jamaica 20 years ago by his wife in the barrel of rum in order to avoid the cost and paperwork of an official return.. according to the website, workers said the rum in the 300-liter barrel had a "special taste" so they even decanted a few bottles of the liquor to take home.. .

I used to live near a really old Norman church. During renovations in the 80's they discovered a medieval tomb under the floor of the church. Inside was a lead lined coffin. When they opened the coffin they found a perfectly preserved fully dressed medieval knight completely immersed and pickled in vinegar. Stranger still were the flowers that were floating in the vinegar.
